What makes a private party different from a large event
With 30 to 80 guests, almost everyone knows everyone. There is no programme carrying the evening and no stage for people to look at. That is exactly why a photo station works so well here: it gives the evening a place where something happens, without anyone having to host it. People drift over, pull others along, and after two hours there is a stack of photo strips on the table that guests leaf through themselves.
The second difference is the space. Private parties happen in flats, beer gardens, club rooms or small bars – not in ballrooms. That is why we state the footprint for every booth.
Which booth suits which occasion
- Christening, confirmation, family gathering. The Photobooth Classic. A printed strip works across all generations – including guests who never reach for a smartphone.

Space, power, which floor
The Photobooth Classic needs about two by two metres including room to move, plus a normal household socket with 230 V – no three-phase power needed. The Magic Mirror needs the same footprint, but 212 cm of ceiling height; for low period rooms or cellars the Magic iMirror at 180 cm is the better choice. The Ground Spinner additionally needs clearance for the rotating camera arm. Tell us the room and the floor and we will work it out beforehand – a lift helps, but is not always necessary.
Outdoors works too: in a beer garden or on a terrace we need a covered, level spot and a socket within reach. And one more point that matters in Vienna: a photo station makes practically no noise. Between 10 pm and 6 am the stricter noise standard of the Vienna Events Act applies – in a courtyard, this is the kind of entertainment that never triggers a complaint.
How it runs and what drives the price
Set-up takes about 30 minutes and the booth runs for up to twelve hours. Running time does not change the price – we charge per event day, not per hour. Within Vienna, delivery, set-up and take-down are included; we work throughout Austria. You get a quote within 24 hours, with no obligation and no deposit. Which private celebrations suit a photo booth?
Almost all of them: christenings, confirmations, graduations, engagements, pre-wedding parties, silver or golden wedding anniversaries, farewell parties, garden parties or family reunions. What matters is not the occasion but the room and the number of guests – we pick the booth together on that basis.
Is a photo booth worth it for only 30 guests?
Yes. At smaller parties in particular there is no programme carrying the evening – the booth takes on that role without anyone having to host it. The price does not depend on the number of guests, but on the booth and the event day.
What determines the price?
Four things shape the quote: which booth you choose, whether one of our team attends on site, how much custom design is involved, and where the venue is. What does not affect the price is the running time – we charge per event day, not per hour. Within Vienna, delivery, set-up and take-down are included; outside Vienna a travel fee applies. The quote arrives within 24 hours, with no obligation and no deposit.
Does it cost more if the booth runs longer?
No. The price applies per event day, and up to twelve hours on the event day are possible. If the celebration continues the next day, a second event day is added. The only thing booked by the hour is an attendant on site.
Does a photo booth fit into a flat or a small bar?
Usually, yes. The Photobooth Classic needs about two by two metres including room to move, plus a normal socket with 230 V. The Magic Mirror additionally needs 212 cm of ceiling height. The 360° video booth, at four by four metres and four metres of ceiling height, is a better fit for a bar – for low rooms the 360° Ground Spinner is the better choice.
Does it work outdoors, in a beer garden or on a terrace?
Yes, on two conditions: a covered, level spot and a socket within reach. Electronics and rain do not mix, so for outdoor parties we always plan a covered position or a fallback area.
Will the photo booth disturb the neighbours?
No. A photo station makes practically no noise – unlike a band or a sound system. In Vienna the stricter noise standard of the Vienna Events Act applies at night between 10 pm and 6 am. In a courtyard or a residential area, a photo booth is the kind of entertainment that never triggers a complaint.
How long does set-up take?
About 30 minutes. We arrive in good time, set up, run one test and are gone before the first guests arrive. Take-down works the same way: after the agreed finish, with nothing for you to organise.
Can we put a name, a date or a theme on the print?
Yes. We design the print layout, the start screen and the frame to match the party. Allow about a week's lead time for that.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Four to eight weeks' lead time is typical, but there is frequently something available at short notice. Just ask and we will tell you straight away whether your date is free. Only a custom print layout needs about a week.
How do I get the digital photos after the party?
After the event you receive a gallery with every shot. By default the files stay stored for one month, shorter by arrangement. The images are never used for AI training.
Do you travel outside Vienna?
Yes, we work throughout Austria. Within Vienna, delivery, set-up and take-down are included in the price; outside Vienna a travel fee applies and is stated transparently in the quote.
