Are there travel costs outside Vienna?

In Vienna, delivery, setup and takedown are included in the price. Outside Vienna there are travel costs – they depend on the distance and are stated transparently in the quote. We work throughout Austria.

Can the Magic Mirror Retro be branded?

On the Retro, three surfaces are available: the back and both sides. The front stays free – the lacquered gold frame is the design element and isn't covered up. If you need more branding space, the Magic Mirror X is the better fit. Either way, your branding also runs digitally: logo, colours and text on the prints and on the start screen.

Can the mirror photo booths be used outdoors?

Yes, on one condition: the spot has to be covered. In rain or high humidity we advise against it – the camera, screen and printer are sensitive to it. But a covered terrace, a marquee or a pavilion is perfectly fine. Let us know with your enquiry if you're planning to use it outdoors – then we'll clarify the details in advance.

Does it cost more if the booth runs longer?

No. We charge per event day, not per hour. Whether the booth runs for two hours or well into the night makes no difference to the quote – up to twelve hours on the event day are possible. If your event continues the following day, a second event day is added. The only thing booked by the hour is an attendant on site. On the units that always run attended – 360° Videobooth, 360° Ground Spinner, photo booth robot, AI Sketcher and Photo Mosaic Wall – the standard package includes a fixed number of attended hours, and you can book additional hours on top.

Does the Magic Mirror Retro need an internet connection?

Nothing to prepare on your end – an own mobile modem comes along. If reception at your venue is weak, we're happy to hook into an existing Wi-Fi network. And even with no internet at all, the evening doesn't stop: photos are still taken and printed, only sharing via QR code, email or SMS gets caught up afterwards.

How big is the Magic Mirror – what are the dimensions of each model?

All dimensions as height × width × depth: Magic Mirror X – 202 × 75 × 27 cm. Magic Mirror Retro – 200 × 92 × 52 cm. Magic iMirror – 180 × 68 × 60 cm. At 27 cm, the Magic Mirror X is the slimmest, which also lets it fit where there's little depth to spare. The iMirror is the shortest and suits rooms with limited ceiling height. For setup plus room to move in front of the mirror, plan for around 2 × 2 metres with any model. If you're unsure whether it'll fit your venue, just tell us the conditions and we'll advise on placement.

How does setup and takedown work? Do I need to prepare anything?

You don't need to worry about a thing. We deliver, set up and collect everything again – on time, discreetly and coordinated with your schedule. All that's useful is a power outlet nearby. We bring a 10-metre extension cable.

How long does setup of the Magic Mirror Retro take?

On the mirror itself, it's quick – the Retro is set up by one person, no tools needed. Still, plan on around an hour from our arrival: delivery, positioning and adjusting for the lighting all take some time. We come early enough that everything's ready before the first guests arrive.

How long does the Magic Mirror Retro run at an event?

The standard package runs for up to 12 hours. That covers even long evenings, from the welcome drinks to the last round. Setup and pick-up happen outside that window – the hours start the moment the mirror is ready for your guests.

How many people fit in one photo?

Because the Retro shoots in portrait format, guests appear head to toe in the frame – which makes it tighter with larger groups than a photo booth shooting in landscape. 3 to 4 people work well. Either way, guests can see straight away in the live preview who's in the shot.

How many prints come with the Magic Mirror Retro?

You choose between two print packages: either 400 pictures in postcard format (10 × 15 cm) or 800 photo strips (5 × 15 cm). Not enough? An extra paper roll can be added. And if the paper does run out towards the end, the party doesn't stop – guests keep taking photos and get their pictures digitally instead.

How much lead time do you need for the Magic Mirror Retro?

There is no fixed lead time – just send us your date and we'll check availability. For a branded print layout in your own look we plan about one week. Short-notice bookings are possible; in that case we use a ready-made layout from our catalogue.

How much space does the Magic Mirror Retro need?

Set up, the mirror measures 92 × 52 × 200 cm (width × depth × height) and weighs around 80 kg. Plan for an area of around 2 × 2 metres so guests have room in front of it, also in groups. For delivery we need level, solid ground. A lift should be available; a passenger lift is enough.

Is a deposit required?

No. You pay nothing in advance. We work on the principle of business before pleasure: the invoice comes only after the event, once everything has gone smoothly.

Is an attendant included with the Magic Mirror Retro?

Setup, testing and a short briefing are included. An attendant for the duration of your event can be booked on top. The mirror is self-explanatory: guests tap the surface and are guided through the shot. An attendant is worth it mainly at large events, or when props and prints should be looked after all evening.

Is the Magic Mirror Retro wheelchair accessible?

Largely, yes. The Retro stands on the floor and shoots at full body height – guests in wheelchairs are in frame and can trigger the shot themselves. The limitation is the touch area, which sits comparatively high. If accessibility matters for your event, just let us know when you enquire and we'll adjust the setup.

What happens if my event is cancelled or postponed?

We handle that flexibly and charge no cancellation fees. The only exception are products for which individually made parts have already been produced – the Photo Mosaic Wall or the AI Sketcher, for instance. In that case only the cost of the printing materials is charged. Just get in touch as soon as you know. If a replacement date is already fixed, we are happy to hold it for you.

What is the Magic Mirror Retro's gold frame made of?

The frame is made of wood and finished in gold – no plastic, no foil. That's what gives the mirror its warm, classic look. Behind it sits current technology: a Canon DSLR, beauty-dish lighting for soft light, and the same software as our other mirror photo booths – including instant printing plus sharing via email, SMS and QR code.

What makes the Magic Mirror X, Retro and iMirror different?

Technically these three mirrors are all at the same level – same experiences, same effects, same image quality. The difference is in build, size and look. All dimensions as height × width × depth: Magic Mirror X – 202 × 75 × 27 cm, clean modern look, the right pick when floor space is tight. Magic Mirror Retro – 200 × 92 × 52 cm with a gold frame, the most eye-catching of the three and suited to balls and weddings. Magic iMirror – 180 × 68 × 60 cm, the most compact, ideal when ceiling height is limited. All three are pure mirror photo booths: they take photos, let you edit the image right on the mirror and print it out. AI transformations of your guests such as cartoon, face swap or oldify are not part of it. If those AI effects are what you are after, the AI Magic Mirror is the right device. It is a separate product and should not be confused with the three models here.

What power supply does the mirror photo booth need?

A standard household socket is enough, and we bring an extension cable. If the power cuts out briefly, the mirror restarts automatically as soon as it's back on – nobody has to step in.

Where do I find the photos after the event?

Two ways lead to the photos. Your guests get their picture straight from the mirror – via QR code, email or SMS to their phone. You as the organiser receive a download link with all the shots after the event. An online gallery is available as an option; at corporate events it's often left out for data protection reasons.

Which accessories and dress-up items can I book?

Accessories can be booked as packages or brought along yourself. Available: – small packages – large packages – special packages (e.g. Christmas parties or themed events) Since accessories are often taken home as keepsakes, they are charged as flat packages. Missing individual pieces are not charged separately.

Which events suit the Magic Mirror Retro?

Generally the same occasions as our other mirror photo booths – they're technically identical. The look is what makes the difference. The gold frame fits especially well in rooms with a festive character: - Weddings – particularly in historic venues - Palaces and halls in Vienna, where modern tech can otherwise feel out of place - Balls and gala evenings - Corporate parties with an upscale setting If you're after a cleaner, more modern look instead, the Magic Mirror X is the better fit – it can do the same, just looks different.

Renting the Magic Mirror Retro in Vienna – what you get

The Magic Mirror Retro is a mirror photo booth in a gold frame: lacquered wood on the outside, a Canon DSLR with beauty dish lighting behind it. Your guests see themselves in the mirror, tap the surface, pose — and hold the finished print seconds later.

We deliver the mirror to your venue at the agreed time and set it up. In Vienna, delivery, setup and collection are included in the price; outside Vienna there is a travel fee, stated transparently in the quote — we work across Austria. From our arrival it takes about an hour until everything is ready.

The standard package runs up to 12 hours. You choose the print format: 800 photo strips in 5 × 15 cm or 400 prints in 10 × 15 cm postcard format, both at the same price. We design the print layout in your look. Setup and briefing are included; an attendant during the event can be booked on top. There is no fixed lead time; for a branded layout we plan for about a week.

The Retro is mostly rented for weddings, balls, galas and company parties — wherever the device should not look like technology. It belongs to the Classic Line, where you will also find the slimmer Magic Mirror X and the Magic iMirror.

Tap and pose

Guests step in front of the mirror and start the session with a single touch. An animation guides them through the countdown — enough time to get into position.

Review and personalise

The photo appears on the mirror straight away. If you like, it can be edited right there: sign it with a finger or add digital props.

Print and share

The print comes out of the device within seconds. On top of that, the picture can be sent straight to the phone by QR code, email or SMS.
