A summer party is the most relaxed company event of the year and at the same time the one with the most unknowns: weather, power, ground, neighbours. That applies to a company summer party just as much as to a club, neighbourhood or garden party.
Running outdoors: three things to settle beforehand
- A covered, level spot. Electronics and rain do not mix, and neither does direct sun on the screen. A gazebo, an awning or a canopy is enough – what matters is that the ground is level and firm. On grass or gravel the unit does not stand safely: there it needs a solid base, so a board or floor covering that you provide on site. Alternatively we find a paved spot together.
- A socket within reach. A normal household socket with 230 V is enough, no three-phase power needed. Tell us the distance and we bring cables of the right length plus a cable ramp, so nobody trips.
- A bad-weather plan. In Vienna, June, July and August each see around 70 to 80 millimetres of rainfall in the long-term climate average, spread over roughly nine rainy days per month (climate data: GeoSphere Austria, formerly ZAMG). The odds of a downpour on your day are small, but not zero. So we agree a fallback area during planning – marquee, foyer, covered terrace. Moving the booth takes a few minutes.
Why a photo station works especially well outdoors
At a summer party nobody is standing in front of a stage. People spread out, sit in groups, and departments stay among themselves. A photo station is the one point where that mixes: someone pulls colleagues over, they dress up, and ten minutes later people are talking who otherwise only know each other from mailing lists. The printed strip with your logo goes home with them – including the children who come along to many summer parties.
Noise, neighbours and the clock
This is exactly where a photo station has the advantage: it makes practically no noise. In Vienna, the stricter standard of the Vienna Events Act applies to events at night between 10 pm and 6 am – when the music and the sound system have to come down, the photo booth simply keeps running. If your outdoor summer party grows larger, it is worth clarifying early with the responsible municipal department whether a notification is required; the photo station itself is never the issue.
How it runs and what drives the price
Set-up takes about 30 minutes, and we usually do it while tables are still being laid. The booth runs for up to twelve hours. Running time does not change the price – we charge per event day, not per hour. If the evening runs long, that is no problem; if your party spans two days, each day is its own event day. Within Vienna, delivery, set-up and take-down are included; we work throughout Austria. You get a quote within 24 hours, with no obligation, no deposit, and as a PDF for internal sign-off if you need one. The invoice goes to the company, with a VAT ID.

Does a photo booth work outdoors?
Yes, on two conditions: a covered, level spot and a socket within reach. Direct sun on the screen and rain are the only real enemies. A gazebo, an awning or a canopy is entirely enough.
What if the ground is grass or gravel?
Then the booth needs a solid base so it stands safely – a board or floor covering that you provide on site. A paved spot works just as well: a terrace, paving, asphalt or a marquee floor. Tell us with your enquiry what the ground is like and we will settle it together beforehand.
What happens if it rains?

What does not affect the price is the running time – we charge per event day, not per hour. Within Vienna, delivery, set-up and take-down are included; outside Vienna a travel fee applies.
Does it cost more if the booth runs longer?
No. The price applies per event day, and up to twelve hours on the event day are possible. If the evening runs long, the quote does not change. If your party spans two days, each day is its own event day. The only thing booked by the hour is an attendant on site.
Which booth suits a summer party best?
The Photobooth Classic, because the printed strip goes home immediately and works for the children who come along to many summer parties. If you want moving images, take the 360° Headspinner – though that needs four by four metres and four metres of height, so outdoors it needs a large gazebo. For low canopies, the 360° Ground Spinner is the better choice.
Can we put our logo on the prints?
Yes. We design the print layout, the start screen and the frame in your corporate design. Send us your logo and colour values and we handle the rest. Allow about a week's lead time for that.
How long does set-up take?
About 30 minutes, and we usually do it while things are still being set up and laid out. No noise, no drilling, no three-phase power. Just tell us when we can get onto the site.
Is one of your team on site during the summer party?
If you want, yes. An attendant on site can be booked for four to ten hours – someone from our team stands at the booth, shows guests how it works and keeps things running. With the 360° Headspinner an attendant is always included.
What happens to the photos afterwards?
After the event you receive a gallery with every shot. By default the files stay stored for one month, shorter by arrangement. The images are never used for AI training. If the gallery should not go online at all, say so with your enquiry.
Do you travel outside Vienna?
Yes, we work throughout Austria. Within Vienna, delivery, set-up and take-down are included in the price; outside Vienna a travel fee applies and is stated transparently in the quote.
