Magic Mirror and Mosaic Wall: An Unforgettable Summer with FiestaPics
May 15, 2024 was the day: the employees of one of our clients in the financial sector swapped their usual Christmas party for a huge summer event at the WakeUp beach bar and restaurant. And what an event it was! We joined them with a Mosaic Wall and the Magic Mirror X from Mosaic Wall, and the day turned into a real highlight.
The Venue: WakeUp
WakeUp is not only a beach bar and restaurant with very good food, but also well known for its atmosphere – you really feel like you're on vacation. The client picked the venue because it was easy for all employees to reach and the space was perfect for an event of this kind. The guests were treated to excellent BBQ, accompanied by great sides and desserts as well as good alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The Highlights: Mosaic Wall and Magic Mirror X
Apart from the DJ, two attractions took center stage and provided plenty of fun and great memories.
Mosaic Wall:
The challenge was clear: a large mosaic picture was to be created in six hours. Our product is made for exactly that, because it adapts perfectly to the duration of the event. Drawing on our expertise, we suggested a wall measuring 160 × 140 cm to the client. The size of the labels can also be chosen; here we suggested 3 × 3 inches, which meant about 400 photos were needed to complete the mosaic in six hours.
Magic Mirror X:
This photo mirror was the perfect companion to the Mosaic Wall. With its cool filters and animations, it turned every photo session into a real experience, and the employees could take a print home too. The client chose a design with three photos per session. These were to be cut out using our special feature "AI background removal" and the background replaced with a picture of the Danube taken on site. This feature requires a good, stable internet connection, which was available at WakeUp. The choice of a print with three photos suited us very well, because those three photos were also used for the mosaic. We would also have recommended the "Multiprint" or "QR Code" features, since most photo sessions were done by small groups of people and of course everyone wanted to take the photo home, digitally or as a print.
The Atmosphere: Pure Fun and Team Spirit
The mood was very pleasant throughout the whole event. A DJ provided entertaining musical accompaniment, and the later it got, the more photos were taken :-). The printed photos were then attached to the Mosaic Wall piece by piece until an impressive work of art emerged at the end. The mosaic picture depends a lot on how photo-enthusiastic the crowd is. Around midnight, when the mosaic was supposed to be finished, about 300 of the 400 photos needed had been taken. But that's no problem: one minute before the end, our software starts printing the missing photos by mirroring or rotating photos that have already been taken, so the mosaic can be completed. The employees were a great help here, even though our event promoter Adam was fully on duty, when they had to stick the remaining 100 photos on the wall at the last minute. You could see the anticipation on their faces about what final picture would emerge in the end. Next to the physical wall, a screen was set up where you could also follow digitally how the mosaic picture came together.
Conclusion
The summer event was a complete success and will certainly stay in the bank employees' memories for a long time, especially since they're going to hang the mosaic picture in their office. The combination of the Mosaic Wall and the Magic Mirror X brought lots of fun and made for unforgettable moments. The client was extremely friendly from the moment of the inquiry and throughout the event – those are of course the clients you like best :-).
