AI robot LUNA and the AI iMirror at the ELK Future Summit 2026 in Heidenreichstein

In short: At the ELK Future Summit 2026 we ran two devices – our AI photo booth robot LUNA and the Magic iMirror with its AI modes. The party took place on the evening of 19 March 2026 at the Ypsilon nightclub in Heidenreichstein, and every print carried the summit layout with the claim "The Future is coming home".

The occasion: ELK Future Summit 2026

ELK is Austria's largest prefabricated home manufacturer, more than 60 years in the market and rooted in Schrems in the Waldviertel region. Once a year the company brings everyone together: according to ELK, the two-day Future Summit 2026 drew over 1,000 employees and sales partners from Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.

The guiding theme was "The Future is coming home". Daytime belonged to strategy, innovation, sales and production – and the evening to the part that actually welds an internal event together. For that, the Ypsilon nightclub in Heidenreichstein was booked, a few kilometres from the company's home base. That is where we were.

Two devices, two very different jobs

At an evening with this many guests, a single photo device quickly becomes the bottleneck: a queue forms, the queue puts the next guests off, and half the room ends up without a picture. So for ELK we set up two devices with different characters – in two different parts of the venue.

The robot worked the dance floor and went looking for its guests. The iMirror stood in one of the side rooms, its walls covered in illuminated vinyl records, and served as the calmer station for anyone taking a break from the dancefloor. Two locations, two moods, two waits of a few minutes each instead of one long one.

LUNA and Style Pop: guests become collectible figures

LUNA is our roaming AI photo booth robot. She drives through the room on her own, approaches guests and shoots at eye level – which is the decisive difference to a fixed photo booth: nobody has to decide to walk over. The device comes to the people, and someone who was mid-conversation is standing in a group in front of the camera a second later.

For ELK, LUNA wore a black ELK shirt – a small detail that travels along in every phone video shot that night.

The AI mode running on LUNA was Style Pop. It does not put a filter over the original photo; it builds a character of its own. Guests come back as small collectible figures on a base, with exaggerated proportions and careful details right down to the ELK cap. That result is the reason people queue a second and a third time – everyone wants to see what the AI makes of them.

The AI iMirror: ELK worlds instead of a stock background

The Magic iMirror is our slim portrait-format mirror with an illuminated frame. It needs little space, looks good in the dark and fits anywhere a classic photo booth would be too bulky.

The iMirror did not run Style Pop but the photorealistic AI scenes of the AI Magic Mirror. Guests were placed into imagery that suits ELK: onto the pitch of a full stadium with ELK perimeter boards, onto a tennis court, in front of an ELK building. Not cut-out heads on a backdrop, but fully rendered scenes with matching light.

That is exactly what makes the difference at a corporate event. The motifs were not interchangeable decoration – they carried the company's own themes further, on an evening when those themes had been the subject of the whole day.

One layout for both devices

However different the two stations were, the output was identical: every print came out in the same summit layout – black frame, "ELK Future Summit 2026", and the claim "The Future is coming home" underneath.

That sounds like a detail, but it is the point at which a photo device turns from a gag into a communication tool. A guest who takes home two pictures from two devices is holding the same event branding twice. And everything that later lands in a chat or on a fridge door carries it further.

Why a nightclub is both a gift and a challenge

It is a gift because the set is already built: lighting rig, lasers, illuminated dance floor, decorated walls. We did not have to install anything to create atmosphere – it was there.

It is a challenge for the same reason. A photo station has to work in an environment that is nearly dark, where the light changes every second and where nobody feels like filling in a form. So we bring our own light for the shot, work with short, unambiguous steps and keep the wait to a minimum. People who are tipsy, delighted and loud do not operate complicated menus – and should not have to.

What an evening like this needs

If you are planning something similar, three points want settling early. First the space: both devices need level ground and a normal 230 V socket nearby; LUNA additionally needs a drivable surface free of steps and cable ramps. Second the internet – we bring our own 5G for the AI image processing, because Wi-Fi in a packed venue rarely holds up. Third the layout: a branded frame like ELK's needs to be agreed and tested beforehand, not on the day.

Why two devices instead of one?

Because with many guests a single long queue forms otherwise. Two stations in two places spread the rush, and guests get two different results rather than the same one twice.

What is the difference between Style Pop and the AI scenes?

Style Pop turns guests into a character of their own – for example a small collectible figure on a base. The AI scenes instead place guests photorealistically into a new environment, such as a stadium.

Can the layout be branded for our event?

Yes. Frame, logo and claim are built in your design beforehand, exactly as at the ELK Future Summit. Both devices then output the same layout.

Does it work in a dark room?

Yes. We bring our own shooting light, independent of the venue's rig. What we need is a 230 V socket, level ground and a short briefing on where the station should stand.
